Anne Frunk, CPC is the Director of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Compliance and Internal Auditing at Shasta Community Health Center and is responsible for patient revenue integrity, reporting, and clinical documentation improvement. She has an extensive background and wide range of leadership, both clinical and in revenue cycle operations. She brings comprehensive knowledge in healthcare compliance, quality, chart audits, board presentations, reconciliations, UDS (Uniform Data System), SFDS (Sliding Fee Discount Scale), payer contracts, billing and coding, and strategic planning. Partnering with executive leadership, her analytical expertise is instrumental to optimizing health center operations, defining strategic direction, and improving overall financial health.
With a special interest in clinical workflow development and education, Anne streamlines processes to meet current healthcare industry standards. Past projects have included building clinical documentation improvement programs, creating a billing department, clinician onboarding RCM curriculum, HEDIS/P4P training, front office and billing manuals and present revenue cycle dashboards to executive board members.
Prior to rejoining Shasta Community Health Center in 2018, Anne served as the Director of Revenue Cycle Operations at Parktree Community Health Center where she brought billing in-house and hired her billing team. Anne has also acted as a consultant to FQHCs nationwide supporting health centers with ICD-10 implementation, billing audits, documentation improvement, and policy and procedure best practices. She specializes in revenue cycle operations and education, EDI practice management configurations, as well as facilitating training to improve revenue cycle workflows and data integrity. Furthermore, she has led clinic special projects such as 5010 Conversion, California Managed Care Rural Expansion (PHP Committee Chair), ACA Outreach & Enrollment, Medicare PPS implementation, and revenue cycle dashboard reporting.
